Job Description:
We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as a Supply Chain Director for the Polyurethanes Division at our Global Headquarters located in The Woodlands, TX.
This individual will be a core member of the Global Supply Chain Leadership a member of the Americas Leadership Team, and leader of the Americas Supply Chain Leadership Team. This individual will maintain external relationships with leading edge bodies, external relationships with co-manufacturing partners, external relationships with toll manufacturing partners, external relationships with HCl marketers and customers, and external relationships with joint venture partners.
What will be expected from you?
Health, Safety and Environment
* Responsible for the development and execution of initiatives to improve EHS and trade compliance within Americas Supply Chain operations (internally and externally).
* Responsible for management/implementation of a cohesive EHS strategy through both Peel and Mexico City blending sites.
* Influence EHS behavioral culture in both PU personnel, as well as personnel of Logistic Service Providers and Suppliers.
* Responsible for the development and execution of supply agreements for HCl sales.
* Responsible for the development and execution of regional supply agreements for external aniline and nitrobenzene sales.
Sales and Operations Planning
* Identification of Regional demand requirements, both annually and longer term (5 years). Close liaison with operations and commercial teams to manage identified supply and demand requirements.
* Participate in global S&OP management structure to ensure total Global business plans are achieved.
* Manage to deliver the forecasted volumes and associated inventory for Americas within cost, quality, and time. Ensure Supply Chain Operations meet all targets regarding customer service, operational effectiveness/efficiency, product quality, and logistic cost reduction.
* The role requires regular coordination with our HCl marketers and customers, balancing volume and value, to ensure the co-produced material moves at a pace that supports MDI production plans while maximizing revenue Customer Service
* Influence Customer Service strategy in line with the Americas business requirements.
* Major stakeholder of the Order-to-Cash process and support full compliance to SOX.
Logistics
* Develop strategic approaches to Logistics in the market, overall business management of all Regional logistic tender projects.
* Development of a clear understanding of logistic industry to underpin adopted logistic strategies.
* Continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Toll Manufacturing
* Development of relationships with industry co-producers to ensure availability and sourcing of products as required. Coordination with Global organization in specific co-producer deals.
* Development of relationships with consumers and marketers to ensure coproduct movement supports the overall MDI supply requirements.
* Development of relationships with MDI and polyol toll producers to ensure availability and sourcing of products as required. Oversee all aspects of operations - quality, quantity, and value creation.
* Responsible for Co-producer activity to support S&OP requirements as the
* prime contact for the American business
Leadership and Direction
* Responsible for an open, performance orientated culture within the Americas Supply Chain team
* Responsible for Americas Supply Chain resources and organization development. Ensure that the Supply Chain organization is adequately organized, staffed, trained, coached, and motivated.
Budgeting and Costing
* Establish and deliver annual budgets (variable and fixed) agreed with Regional Commercial Vice President and Global Supply Chain Vice President
* Responsible for management of Americas logistical spend
* Management of regional inventory regarding volume and value.
* Drive for cost excellence by organizational effectiveness and effective Supply Chain strategies.
Business Operations and strategy Management
* Ensure Supply Chain Operations meet all targets regarding customer service, operational effectiveness/efficiency, product quality, delivery, and logistic cost reduction.
* Management of the merchant aniline sales strategy, ensuring value creation from aniline sales.
* Management of the co-product HCl sales strategy, ensuring value creation from HCl sales.
* Responsible for the development and implementation of polyol strategy within the regional business. This includes definition of the business requirements across all SMUs, working closely with Corporate Purchasing in delivering best
* possible economics and executing the identified plan.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
* Minimum Education preferred Technical Degree or post graduate education in business studies or supply chain management
* Minimum 15 years of integrated supply chain experience from a strategic and tactical perspective
* Experience in manufacturing environment
* Experience with chemicals industry is preferred
* Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic management and senior leadership across functions directing substantial resources
