Job Description

Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) is seeking an experienced Operations Program Manager, Clean Rooms to join our Environmental Health and Safety Team. This role will aid in the oversight, design and enhancement of operations in our various clean rooms throughout North America, Asia and Europe. This role will interface with many research teams and provide input on critical safety components in equipment, room and product design. This role is a key point of contact with research, hardware and EHS teams to ensure safe design and continued safe operations. This role will support all display and optics work.

Operations Program Manager, Clean Rooms Responsibilities

* Assist hardware teams and occupational safety site leads in reviewing facilities for clean room safety operations

* Analyze safety and environmental hazards, assist in creating equipment and facility requirement specifications for hardware such as fabrication devices and other operations

* Evaluate requested changes to operating procedures, partnering with other members of Environment, Health & Safety to ensure timely review and enablement of hardware activities

* Develop and manage a 5 year road map on site operations for these technical spaces

* Point of contact for the teams using these spaces back to facilities, EHS and central site management

* Ensure the cataloguing and maintenance of all equipment

* Oversee a team ensuring 24/7 operations as needed, managing vendor teams and chemical inventories and generally managing the day-to-day needs

Minimum Qualifications

* Masters degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Health Physics, or a related discipline

* Experience in safety work associated with clean rooms ideally process safety

* Experience managing clean rooms at a similar technology company or within a university or research lab setting

* Experience designing or being an integral part of a design team for clean rooms

* 5+ years experience with chemical and environmental systems

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience communicating and working effectively with all levels of staff

* Experience working in a hardware production environment

* Experience influencing teams indirectly through timely, accurate, and powerful analysis

* Experience in safety investigations, either during development process or failure analysis

* Experience working with internal and external companies and vendors

* Experience in emergency spill response

* Experience in semi-conductor industry
