Role Overview

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Manager, Quality Assurance who will own the execution of key elements of site Quality Assurance operational plans. You will lead a team of Quality Assurance professionals, set tactical and operational plans for the achievement of Quality Compliance goals and drive change to ensure continuous quality improvement. You will also manage key customer relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

* Develops and manages plans, guidelines, policies and processes, to ensure the achievement of quality targets.

* Develops the strategic direction, mission and vision for the Quality organization that supports overall organizational strategic direction, mission and vision.

* Foster a team environment of collaboration, respect, and continuous learning.

* Problems faced are often complex and require extensive analysis and investigation

* Requires ability to influence others to accept approaches and practices.

* Leads implementation of organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.

* Oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.

* Manages teams collecting and analyzing quality information from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategy and programs.

* Manages teams providing production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.

* Develops and implements operations quality plans and procedures.

* Manages and maintains department budget requirements.

* Champion operations site APQP/ZDP initiatives.

* Participates in and supports site compliance (FAI, AS9100D) and customer Audits.

Qualifications

* This position requires a bachelors degree in the appropriate discipline and 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience.

* In the absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

* Knowledge of APQP processes is preferred.

* Knowledge of Epicor ERP is preferred.

* ASQ CQE certification is preferred.
