Job Description

What you will do

Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections.

How you will do it

* Conduct fire sprinkler testing and inspections to include Wet sprinkler systems, Dry pipe Sprinkler systems, Pre-action/Deluge sprinkler systems, backflow preventers. Candidate must have knowledge of performing annual fire pump performance test. Knowledge of testing and inspecting Foam Systems is a plus.
* Document all results in a detailed report via a smart phone, computer or paper form. All electronic devices supplied by Johnson Controls.
* Reports to be forwarded to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
* Quote repairs on site if applicable, via electronic device.
* Interacts with customer prior to, during and after completion of the inspection process.
* May train or assist less experienced/newer employees in job processes.
* Acts as our customers best service provider at all times thereby ensuring Johnson Controls is the customers first choice for service.
* Ensures proper testing equipment and materials are onsite at the time of inspection.
* Develop exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
* Travel to and from job sites daily
* On call rotation including weekends, very early starts, nights, etc.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

What we look for
Required:

* Experience with Fire Alarm base systems.
* Good verbal, written, and electronic communication skills are a must.
* Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
* Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
* Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
* Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times. including wearing PPE such as clear safety glasses, goggles, hard hat, bump cap, and sleeves.
* Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
* Possess a valid drivers license and driving record that meets company requirements.
* Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
