What you will do

Under general direction of the VP of HVAC Field Operations & Optimization, provides leadership to drive the profitable growth, free cash flow, and increased market share of the HVAC Conventional Business. Coach and mentor installation leaders to manage the HVAC Conventional Business, including forecasting, project portfolio execution, billings, collections, resource planning, staffing and development of the installation team. Drive excellence through the creation and use of our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Best Business Practices, and a strong demonstrated business cadence.

How you will do it

1. Provides direction and support to Area Installation Managers (AIM) and Local Market HVAC Installation Managers (HVAC IM) that results in the achievement of the planned business results for the HVAC Conventional business.
2. Promotes a strong safety first culture. Drives importance and use of pre-job checklist (PJC), leader observations, and near miss reporting.
3. Coach and support AIMs and HVAC IMs to instill and manage a performance culture through our BSNA Operating System (BOS) and its associated Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions. This cadence includes, but is not limited to; Pre-Bid Review, Release to Operations, Scheduling, Billings, Change Orders, Backlog Review, Delivery Re-Estimate and Service Turnover.
4. Drive proper staffing levels through Role Clarity, leveraging the Engineering Transformation and the use of the Capacity Model, Utilization Dashboard and IIS Labor Scheduling.
5. Drive the importance of employee development and retention through individual development plans, regular 1-on-1s, and training.
6. Drive the use of productivity tools (Connected Buildings, MAP Gateway, FIT, PVT, CAP, BOL2.0, etc.) to improve productivity and efficiency in the business.
7. Support the Areas by engaging in the R&O process and in Business Ops Reviews.
8. Drives monthly/quarterly/annual installation performance to plan and forecast. Inspects local market forecast KPIs, offers related support and coaching.
9. Ensures the local installation managers build strong relationships with key/target customer executives in local markets and active participation in professional organizations including ASHRAE, MCAA, and ACCA (strive to be in a leadership/ board position).
10. Supports Operations Management Disciplines (OMD), BSNA Operating System (BOS), Building Operations Leaders (BOL) and other critical programs for the HVAC Conventional Installation team.
11. Creates and leads growth programs and key initiatives in the HVAC Domain.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

What we look for

* Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field, MBA preferred.
* Eight to ten years of experience in Installation management, preferably in the construction space.
* Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC industry, project, installation, and financial management and relationships with key players in the market.
* Ability to travel to Areas/Branches outside of local geography 25% to 50%.
* High-level competence in written and verbal communication.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks
* Ability to negotiate and deal with conflict resolution issues
