What you will do
The System Administrators for SEDU will be responsible for the initial set-up and ongoing maintenance of Johnson controls service scheduling and dispatch applications. This role will be critical to the establishment of the platforms foundational configurations, settings and technician profiles as part of our deployment and launch strategy. Post-launch, the members of this team will own the ongoing maintenance of the application including ensuring the integrity of skills, certifications, and clearances of over 8,000 service technicians, inspectors, and sub-contractors, schedule & dispatch route plan configurations, and support of ongoing software releases. How you will do it
* Manage technician profiles individual skills, certifications, and local knowledge, for all service technicians across all BSNA domains.
* Help identify customers that require certifications to ensure all certifications are represented on the customer account level for proper execution.
* Create and maintain standard operating procedures for analyst II role
* Maintain user access and appropriate levels of visibility based on legal and compliance policies
* Consult with centralized teams, Service Managers, and branch office personnel to ensure technician routing is optimized for efficient workflow
* Log, triage, resolve and communicate root cause for any service or application disruptions
* Liaise with our IT and technical teams to ensure seamless application and mobility platform updates through UAT coordination and post-deployment test validation.
* Conduct analysis, configuration, and testing to ensure continuous improvement and optimization of our Service Schedule & Dispatch applications business logic
* Analyze data, identify impact variables, and plan the best course of action to create optimum efficiency.
* Design, maintain, and responsible for developing and execute test cases for future upgrades and troubleshooting scenarios.
* Respond quickly to usability concerns
* Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into an existing system
* Responsible for the coordination of all User Acceptance Testing with business and IT partners, logging defects, and working to resolve to maximize system functionality
* Maintain Knowledge Base and problem code table ensuring the accuracy of response time and job durations.
* Responsible for managing quarterly enhancement releases across all business platforms.
* Working with IT and leadership to prioritize work and establish timeline commitments for new releases
* Liaison between business and IT to ensure continuity of release management and impact on any boundary systems or processes.
* Conduct impact analysis across all business units to ensure continuity of system modifications and enhancement requests
* Perform periodic predictive analysis of application optimization failures and making recommendations to the field to maximize system performance.
* Set up, collect, and input data.
* Own the configuration of OFSC. Become an integral part of interpreting our business rules and ensuring the configuration in OFSC meets those business rules.
* Prepare the system for initial configuration/launch and possess the ability to make configuration changes post-deployment.
* Develop work zones and skillsets from scratch in many instances, by negotiating with all lines of business. For example, in most cases, a district has its territory divided into work zones 4 different ways (Electronic, Sprinkler, Suppression, Service /Inspection).
* Develop and execute a data collection and implementation strategy to align system configuration of district and technician profiles with our deployment schedule.
What we look for
* BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
AND
* 2+ years experience as a system administrator or equivalent working knowledge of routing optimization applications and tools
OR
* 5+ years business experience with Johnson Controls service organization
* Ability to read and understand financial reports, build business cases and calculate returns on investment
* Champion the continuous improvement mindset and be an agent for change
* Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic and dynamic environment, dedication to teamwork, a strong work initiative, and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas.
* Experience communicating in a clear and concise manner to multiple types of audiences and channels.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, OneNote, PowerPoint, Power BI and SharePoint).
* Agility and easily adaptable to change
* Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes.
* Must speak Canadian French
