Job Details
This key supply chain role will lead the 5-year Supply Chain strategy roadmap. They will operate in a highly collaborative manner with the various business units across the network to bring operations and strategy together to delivery on our key supply chain pillars. They will lead the Supply Chain capital planning and execution process. Inbound and outbound forecasting process. Network strategy and modeling. Shelf landed margin analysis. Business process design and implementations. Technology project business lead. Reporting design and development.
* Accountable for capital planning and execution for the supply chain.
* Create and implement a 5 year supply chain strategy; this entails frequent interaction with C-suite/executive leadership and strong delivery presentation skills
* Performing in-depth analysis to define network design and capability plan; leading strategic business analysis to define and sequence capabilities in order to meet short and long-term goals
* Leading key initiatives including network analysis and simulations, long range capacity management and network activation
* Managing supply chain modeling capabilities to enable strong end-to-end decision making between the supply chain as well as across the enterprise to enable optimized cost-to-serve
* Manages the outbound forecasting process to include cross-functional collaboration, flow planning and reporting
* Manages the inbound forecasting process to include cross-functional collaboration, flow planning and reporting
* Leads the design and development of business processes and technology implementations from a business perspective
* Governs the data visualization strategy for the supply chain
* Provide leadership and coaching to team members with a focus on the development of talent
* Identify strengths and development areas of direct reports and support individual growth plans that align with the needs of the team
* Create and maintain environment that challenges team members to learn new skills and opportunities to gain broad functional experience
* Drive performance culture tied to key operations and financial metrics to measure individual and team success
* Hire, manage and conduct performance and development reviews of assigned team
Qualifications
* Strong problem solving skills utilizing expertise, business judgment and knowledge gained from careful consideration of situational factors and possible resolution strategies
* Demonstrated success in making tough decisions
* Conflict resolution skills able to read situations quickly and settle disputes equitably
* Demonstrated results-oriented leadership and managing initiatives effectively
* The ability to work effectively with all levels of the Dollar General team to include senior management
* Working knowledge of S&OP or S&OE processes
* Ideal candidate will have at least 10+ years of experience in supply
* Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
* Experience in highly matrixed cross-functional organizations
* Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
* Experience with supply chain technologies to include data visualization tools
* Experience in retail/CPG industry required
