This role is participating in an Agile Scrum team at Wells Fargo, specifically around capturing electronic trading data and making it available for downstream systems, analysis and reporting.
The successful candidate will be experienced in designing and building data pipelines that transform and persist data for various use cases, while ensuring the completeness, consistency, and security of the data while meeting latency and scalability requirements. The data sets will include structured and unstructured data.
Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of software engineering experience
* 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: securities, quants, artificial intelligence, or machine learning
* 7+ years of Java experience
* 3+ years of Kafka Platform experience, Confluent Platform experience, or a combination of both
* 3+ years of experience with Java Message Service (JMS) tools such as WebSphere MQ or Solace
* 7+ years of SQL experience
* 5+ years of Oracle experience
* 5 + years of FIX protocol (Financial Information eXchange) experience
* 5+ years of Multi-Threading Experience
Desired Qualifications
* A Masters degree or higher in computer science or finance
* A professional certification in technology
* Basic knowledge of industry regulations related to building technological solutions
* 3+ years of C++ experience
Other Desired Qualifications
* Excellent business and technical knowledge of US cash equities trading systems including Clearing, allocations, Trade Reporting, Regulatory Reporting
* Experience transforming and persisting data to relational, various forms of NoSQL, and time-series data stores
* Excellent written and verbal communications with an ability to summarize and translate between business and technical contexts
* Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
* Work closely with other development teams and perform proof of concept implementations for various use cases
* Implement solutions for transformation, enrichment and mapping of streaming data
* Build solutions to process structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
* Work collaboratively within a team on coding, reviews and testing
* Continuously integrate and deploy updates to the platform without impacting its resiliency or consistency
