Data Management and Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. Our work enables Wells Fargo to empower and inform our employees, deliver exceptional experiences for our customers, and meet the elevated expectations of our regulators. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers financial needs.

It's an exciting time to be a part of Wells Fargo's Master & Reference Data team. The Data Management Consultant will be responsible for facilitating the scrum process on scrum teams with cross-functional impacts that involve moderately complex project, non-project, or maintenance work of the Enterprise Master & Reference Data team. Guides the scrum team(s) and organization to follow generally accepted Agile/Scrum practices and daily activities to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Coaches scrum team(s) to deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met.
* Partners with managers to convey their concerns to scrum teams about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards.
* Partners with Product Owner(s) to ensure continuous refinement of backlog, which may include stories from multiple projects.
* Helps set-up and establish Agile teams and drives Agile methodology adoption across the Enterprise Master & Reference Data team.
* Facilitates and is accountable for owning the Scrum and/or Scaled Agile ceremonies for the scrum team(s).
* Partners with Product Owners, Program or Project Managers to communicate delivery of work product from the scrum team(s) and escalates key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness.
* Identifies skills & competencies of scrum team members & makes adjustments accordingly to promote development and highly effective teams.

Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis demonstrated through work or military experience
* 2 + years of experience as a scrum master
* 4+ years of Agile experience

Desired Qualifications
* Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications
* Knowledge and understanding of data governance program development and implementation in a large organization across multiple business functions
* Previous DMI Experience or Familiarity with the DMI Transformation Effort
* Thorough knowledge of Wells Fargos current organizational structure
* Knowledge and experience of Wells Fargo's Agile transformation initiative
* Previous experience coaching and mentoring other scrum masters
* Strong ability to influence and create change
* 4+ years of practical Agile experience (e.g. Product Owner, Business Analyst, Developer on a scrum team, Project Manager, or Business System Consultant working directly with scrum teams)

Job Expectations
* Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
