How will you make an impact?
As an Employee Onboarding Experience Specialist, you will be part of the Global Services & Support (GSS) business within the Life Sciences Solutions Group (LSG) of Thermo Fisher Scientific and will report to Director, Global Operational Excellence Team. You will contribute to customer and employee satisfaction by working with GSS teams in facilitating the onboarding of newly hired employees during the new hire training phase.
What will you do?
The Employee Onboarding Experience Specialist will drive the successful onboarding of newly hired employees within GSS and to this end will:
* Together with other colleagues from the onboarding team located in United States and in Europe, work with GSS managers and to maintain a GSS onboarding plan for new hires.
* Own the scheduling of onboarding & training modules as per this plan, track progress and successful completion of the same using trackers and learning management systems.
* Identify risks to the execution of this onboarding & training plan, propose and execute on solutions to address these risks, by working with hiring managers from GSS teams.
* Provide data reports, status summaries to GSS stakeholders and hiring managers on onboarding & training progress and completion.
* Identify gaps and opportunities to improve in the onboarding process through own initiative as well as by soliciting feedback from GSS teams, and collaborate with other colleagues in executing on solutions to address the same
* Deliver live onboarding sessions to new hire, to introduce them to IT tools used across GSS and Thermo Fisher Scientific, such as Microsoft Office 365 functionalities
* Set up new hires and their managers for success by facilitating access to IT tool through the submission of IT tickets, track progress on the same and escalate when and where needed.
* Mark completion of new hire onboarding through hand over to hiring managers.
* May be assigned other tasks and duties related as appropriate.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor2019s degree, one in a life sciences discipline would be beneficial.
* Prior experience in a similar role or an administrator role with demonstrable project management experience would be of advantage.
* Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Must be fluent in written and spoken English, proficiency in other language(s) skills would be of advantage but not essential.
* Prior knowledge of working with learning management systems would be of advantage.
* Prior experience in delivering trainings to new hires would be of advantage.
