How you will make an impact

The primary objective of this position is to lead creation of Large Volume Custom (LVC) new product documentation. This involves close coordination with all operations teams to ensure our LVC product manufacture and supply procedures for all new LVC skus are effective and efficient, while ensuring all customer requirements are met. Additional responsibilities of this position are to update and revise existing product paperwork as necessary. This role will include close coordination with other project manager team members to successfully transfer the opportunity from quote phase to order to creation of new product paperwork. A continual emphasis will be to identify improvements to our process of manufacture and supply of LVC products.

Additional responsibilities include Provide direct support to Business Development Managers (BDM), Technical Sales Specialist (TSS), Bioscience Account Managers (BAM) and other Sales teams representing Protein Analysis and Antibodies Products worldwide, for development of new make-to-order business (also known as Large Volume Custom, LVC) and ongoing maintenance of business.

What you will do

* With input from Operations teams, determine effective procedures for manufacture or supply of LVC products.
* Submit new product paperwork for review and approval by Operations teams.
* Monitor new product paperwork turn-around time and identify improvements and efficiencies in the process.
* Support new opportunity development by working with sales team and customers, by assessing feasibility, perform cost analysis and establish terms of supply that align with Operations capabilities.
* Establish and nurture positive business relationships with Customers to increase current business and identify new opportunities.
* Secure blanket orders for Customers repeat purchases, seek new opportunities to upsell and for new product needs.
* Work with internal teams to answer customer inquiries and ensure complete customer satisfaction.

* Maintain appropriate records per company guidelines, and as directed by manager.
* Follow specific guidelines relating to what products and quantities constitute make-to-order business.
* Serve as a back-up to the Project Specialist managing renewal business.
* Maintain pipeline of new opportunities.
* Perform special projects as needed.
* Overnight travel 10% of position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Incumbents of this position must have knowledge of Thermo Fisher Rockford products, be able to work with a significant degree of independence and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates must have ability to multi-task and demonstrate good team-building skills within the internal Thermo Fisher organization and with customers on a timely basis. PC skills required include Microsoft Office Suite and AS400.

Education and Work Experience:

* Minimum: Bachelor2019s Degree in Life Sciences, 3 years work experience in the life sciences.
* High School Diploma or GED is required
* Experience in production or quality analysis of life science products is advantageous.
