The Marketing Scrum Project Manager role at Thermo Fisher Scientific will help drive Agile Marketing adoption, implementation and excellence across our Biosciences Division. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations, this position will be working with cross-functional, highly matrixed teams to manage and deliver marketing programs, projects and campaigns, as well as supporting other varying business priorities.
What will you do?
* Lead all aspects of assigned projects, including planning, execution, team capacity, budgeting, on-time delivery, escalation, risk mitigation, issue tracking, project documentation, key tracking and communication
* Provide support, direction and coaching to the project teams to encourage adoption of good Agile Marketing practices
* Collaborate with and build strong relationships with key stakeholders
* Modify plans, schedules and resource assignments as necessary throughout projects to respond to changing requirements, risks and business conditions
* Tailor, blend and adapt project management, marketing operations, communication and relationship building approaches to drive the best results and outcomes for customers and internal stakeholders.
* Facilitate and participate in Agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives
* Create and deliver clear, concise and informative status updates to a wide range of stakeholders to ensure visibility to project status and risks
* Manage cross-functional resources and intra-team dependencies in a highly matrixed organization
* Contribute to Project Management COE and create project archives and process improvement plans based on lessons learned and retrospectives
How you will get here:
Education
* Bachelor2019s degree in a relevant area of life science, business or marketing required
Experience
* 3+ years of experience in project management, marketing operations or other relevant positions preferred
* Experience in life science or related industries strongly preferred
* Experience planning with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, etc. preferred
* Experience within marketing operations, commercial marketing, operations marketing strongly preferred
* Experience with PPI Methodologies a plus
* Scrum Master certification and/or PMP preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
* Exceptional listening and communication skills with a strong ability to articulate project challenges, alternatives and solutions to stakeholders and business partners
* Strong capability to build impactful professional relationships and drive collaboration across multiple functions
* Knowledge of general marketing operations and familiarity with PPI (Lean) methodologies
* Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a large matrixed organization
* Well-developed problem-solving and creative thinking skills
* Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel as well as solutions as Workfront or Jira
