Job Description

The Facilities Management (FM) department mandate is to operate and manage TDs physical real estate network while providing a secure, safe and functional work environment for TD employees and customers while also aligning to shareholder expectations and objectives. Key areas of responsibility would include;

Requirements

Provide direct support for business case development and program-level assessments of FM programs and initiatives.
Support the assessment of expense saving initiatives, ideas and measures while ensuring occupancy expense targets remain on budget
Central asset management, due diligence and support in tracking a longer-term capital investment views for the retail and corporate network using information from multiple sources
Centralized counsel to document FM policies, procedures and to ensure alignment to financial approval limits and processes
Help to contribute and support the strategic direction on how FM delivers services including; innovation, industry best practices, advanced technology and use of analytical data to better serve our end user needs
Central focal point for the development, oversight, management of FM related capital plans in partnership with other stakeholders.
Enhance TDs resiliency planning efforts and assist with the support of business resumption response activities and unplanned crisis events in the portfolio.
Act as real estate subject matter expert by participating in the planning and execution of initiatives driven by other lines of business areas.
Proactively work with FM outsourced service partner to ensure all TD facilities remain compliant with all relevant rules, regulations and legislation
Coordinate with Human Resources on all occupational health, workplace and accessibility related matters.
Centralized support to the Facilities Management Director and Regional Facilities Managers
Coordination with TD Legal, TD Risk Management, TD Corp. Insurance and other key partners in the identification and implementation of risk mitigation best practices
Work with TD Global Physical Security group to mitigate risks and to ensure bank security maintenance process are aligned to the organizational needs
Coordination with TD Physical Security Access Services groups for provision of vendor access to secure facilities, including the management of Attestation requirements.
Work closely with outsourced FM provider to ensure service level agreements, vendor performance and contractual obligations are aligned to the TD's desired outcomes
Provide stewardship with the tabulation and tracking of the bank's sustainability goals, targets and key initiatives.
Participate and/or attend industry sustainable events as a SME and to reinforce TDs Environmental brand

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below
7+ Years of related experience
Demonstrated supervisory, project management, vendor management and leadership skills required
Successful track record in a facilities management and supervisory position for major retail or hospitality organization
Proven ability to interact well with a team as well as work as an individual contributor
Requires travel throughout a region as well as night and weekend work as needed
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrated communications skills (written & verbal)
Experience in reviewing engineering reports, project blueprints and construction specifications
Understanding of various construction codes, regulations and laws
PC skills
Familiarity with banking operations desired
Strong financial analysis to understand, perform and manage budgets, statistics and project bidding
Solid understanding of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, systems and landscaping
Ability to read site plans and blue print
Current driver's license in state of residence
Good listener
Excellent sense of urgency

Preferred:
Thorough understanding of financial/accounting related information
Project management (i.e. PMP) or change management expertise is desirable
Retail bank operation/network experience or knowledge
Comfortable with MS Office applications and ability to utilize Information//data management tools
Basic construction knowledge
Industry training and certification would be an asset (LEED, MCR, IFMA, etc.)
Flexible work schedule to assist with unplanned crisis management events
Be organized and project confidence is conducting presentations and chairing meetings
Advanced ability to work collaboratively and to develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to diplomatically handle performance escalations to deal with difficult workplace decisions or situations
