Job Description
Raytheon Intelligence and Space is currently seeking a Field Engineer I with a current TS/SCI security clearance w/CI poly for satellite Operations and Maintenance (O&M) positions. The selected candidate(s) will join a skilled O&M team working in a 24/7 operations environment. The O&M team is responsible for all aspects of Operations Planning and Command and Control, including monitoring day-to-day activities as well as identifying and solving challenging problems as they occur. After completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, the candidate(s) will be part of a certified team of subject matter experts that are integral to our customer's results.
Job Duties:
Work in an adaptable small team environment (2-5 people)
Create and/or implement a daily operations plan using complex software and hardware systems
Obtain/maintain technical knowledge of a large repository of formal procedures with the responsibility to accurately select and apply the correct procedure(s) depending on the specific scenario at hand
Document discrepancies as they occur. Implement workarounds and contingency plans to minimize impacts of system anomalies
Cross-train in other operator positions as assigned and assist with training of other personnel on the contract team

Required Skills:
An active and In-scope TS/SCI with CI Poly US security clearance
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must have proven experience performing work successfully in a collaborative environment with other organizational domains
Must have demonstrated experience with executing assigned tasks to meet technical goals
This position is in support of an integral 24/7 Operations environment. As such:
Availability for non-scheduled call-in is required
The job assignment requires working a combination of day staff and shift schedules based on the adaptable needs of the team
Availability to work overtime is required
Desired Skills:
Experience working a rotating shift schedule
Experience giving and receiving training to/from a wide range of learning/teaching styles
Experience working in a virtual team environment
Experience using both Windows and UNIX platforms
Experience with Perl, VBA, or other scripting languages
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelors' degree in related field or prior relevant/military work experience or 8 years' experience in lieu of degree.
