Job Description

The Learning Manager position will function as a leader within the site and be responsible for managing all facets of fulfillment operations training and the continuous learning & development needs of non-exempt warehouse team members. In partnership with HR, operations leadership and internal partners, the trainer is responsible for ensuring the development of dynamic training programs and supportive learning tools. This will include the use of data and analytics to measure and maintain consistent successful training and development of non-exempt team members by all training resources.

This leader will be hands-on and will build and maintain relationships with hourly team members, managers, vendors, other FC teams, and various departments in the company. This person will be someone who enjoys change and enjoys getting into the details to drive improvements every single day.

* Responsible for supporting all operational goals through the effective on-boarding of new hires and continuous education of all team members

* Drive continuous improvement to safety, quality, cost, and delivery while growing and expanding capabilities within the warehouse
* Partner with leaders, system owners and other subject matter experts to understand performance expectations to create appropriate learning objectives designed to meet performance expectations
* Design and revise courseware using a sound instructional approach, conformance to standards and efficacy in meeting objectives
* Develop content, tools and materials for training programs
* Effectively facilitate training using proven adult learning principles and dynamic delivery techniques
* Prioritize multiple projects and tasks to ensure effective departmental operations
* Effectively partner with recruiting, staffing, leadership and other departments to ensure streamlined operations in support of new hire training and continuous education
* Drive strategic planning and forecasting of training resources
* Support Train-the-Trainer instruction when leveraging learning leads, ambassadors or other training delivery resources
* Manage the day to day performance and development of learning assets
* Indirectly lead additional training resources as needed
* Serve as a partner to all Learning Managers across the network to ensure consistency where possible and to maintain a high level of learning standards
* Leverage evaluation strategies to measure the performance of training programs
* Partner to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of warehouse management training, testing other supporting systems
* Coordinate all training related activities
* Participate in other training events as needed

Qualifications

* B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent additional experience
* 3-5 years of learning and development experience in facilitation and/or design
* 1-3 years people leadership experience in customer facing business unit
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
* Proven ability to effectively motivate, develop, and manage 50+ employees.
* Strong project management and continuous improvement skills
* Metrics driven mindset
* Customer service obsession, with willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy customer needs
* Effective communicator and leader for employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams and executive leadership
* Proven ability to quickly adapt and drive the right results using data
* Experience in the use of Kaizens,or other operational excellence process improvement
* Highest levels of integrity and ethics
* Ability to prioritize tasks and projects
* Strong interpersonal and communications skills
* Ability to partner effectively with team members, clients and partners
* Understanding of Adult Learning principles
* Must be able to work independently to achieve desired results
* Proficient in instructional design standards and methodologies
* Experience in developing high-quality, interactive, visual aids/presentations, participant workbooks and job aids
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support the variety of schedules within the fulfillment center
