Reporting directly to the On Camera Talent Manager, this position is responsible for the recruitment, casting and development of all On-air Guests. In addition, responsible for the development and execution of all general talent training programs for On-air Guests and Hosts. To include but not limited to Guest Auditions, Category Summits, On-air Guest education seminars, and supports the Guest Excellence Seminar. Included in the responsibilities is the support of New Host Recruitment and Training.
On-Air Guest Recruitment and Casting Develop and execute a plan to identify and recruit top tier guest talent to QVC, managing the Guest audition process. Manage a database(s) of qualified guest candidates (new and existing) to be used as a guest resource for vendor needs as well as backup guests for established brands or categories. Additionally, recruit talent as needed to fulfill any Proprietary Brand Guest requirements in support of key QVC brands or lines of business. Accountable for reporting metrics and data on a quarterly and annual basis.
* Guest Development and Training Identify, produce and manage the execution of Category Summits. Accountable for the facilitation of Special Trainings for Celebrity and International Guests. Accountable for on-boarding and training of Proprietary Brand Guests. Supports all aspects of the Guest Excellence Seminar.
* Host Recruitment Supports the host recruitment and audition process including the facilitation of final round auditions at Studio Park.
* New Host Training Support the New Host Trainee program. Accountable for the organization of all training materials, training calendar and schedules.
* Special Projects - Supports Merchandising 101 Seminar, intern program, seminar and vendor webinars as assigned.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE
* Excellent People skills are a MUST.
* Ability to asses individuals within groups & recognize the training needs of both the individuals as well as the group at hand
* Strong collaboration skills
* Excellent presentation and public speaking skills are required
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Organizational and time management skills are needed in addition to the ability to react quickly to critical situations that arise in a live broadcast and production environment
* Strong knowledge of the QVC Brand
* Ability to effectively communicate to various levels of talent and management
* Ability to collaborate and work in teams and independently
* Independent creative thinking and judgment based on business strategies and priorities are essential to this position. A confident knowledge of QVC policy and procedure is required to perform this job effectively.
* Ability to design & deliver training plans, manage adult learning, measure & evaluate all training plans to fit the business needs
* Industry experience in a broadcast media environment
* Working knowledge of various computer programs (Power Point, MS Word, Excel a Must)
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent broadcasting and/or business experience
Experience: A minimum of 7 years business experience
