Job Overview This is a Test Engineer position within QST group. In this role the candidate will be working on a team responsible for testing QTI security solution. The team supports security system group new feature testing and product testing on Qualcomm chip sets. The role involves a good mix of hands on testing of the products and SW development of test cases and automation using a combination of C, Python, Perl, and XML. Testing the products requires a good understanding of the following key topics: driver testing, mobile device testing, interaction of test and development tools with the embedded devices, software development skill, and technical knowledge of security software. Additionally, the candidate will be interacting with various project teams. Successful candidate must have strong communication skills, must be an effective team player, and be able to work independently.
Engineers will be responsible for developing SW test drivers and test automation which may include the following responsibilities:
Test development, troubleshooting and problem resolution on embedded software platforms
Test application design, coding and development
Test security protocol and algorithm and its interaction with other applications
Interact in a team environment with developers, system engineers and testers
Work closely with systems, software and test teams to develop test/test apps at both API level and system levels

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Testing embedded software and test automation;
Developing test cases and automation with programming skills in Python, Perl
Software development skill in C.
Knowledge of cryptography and secure protocol is a plus.
Application development experience in Android platform
Lab and hands-on debugging skills
Team player, work independently with minimum supervision
Attention to details and follow-through
Verbal and written communication skills
Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
