Position Summary

This is an entrylevel opportunity in the sales group with key customer account interaction. Strong interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service skills are required.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Act as liaison between customers and TIMET.

Receive and analyze incoming correspondence and gather necessary data to formulate replies.

Insure prompt and efficient processing of customer orders and requests for quotation.

Issue formal quotations and follows up with customer to gather market feedback.

Maintain contact with plant & service center personnel to insure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Develop existing & new relationships with customers.

Work collaboratively with Regional Sales Representatives, providing pertinent information concerning customer & market activity.

Report to management on pricing levels, competitive information and market conditions.

Experience & Education

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from fouryear college or university is preferred; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Background in the metals, chemical or aerospace industry is helpful

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret purchase order terms & conditions, technical requirements, & governmental regulations. Ability to write reports & professional business correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate to managers, internal and external customers.

Computer Skills

Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel & Word. SAP experience preferred, but not necessary.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, metric conversions, proportions, fractions, and percentages.
