Position Summary
Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties. Plan mounting and wiring on nonstandard products. Alter mounting and wiring of standard products to meet special requirements. Make adjustments as required. Support the Companys continuous improvement.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Functions
1. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as mills, saws, straighteners, programmable controllers and other electrical productionrelated equipment.
2. Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
3. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixture and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
4. Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Machinists, Mechanics and Maintenance Manager to diagnose malfunction.
5. Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
6. Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
7. Replace electric motors and brushes.
8. Program and troubleshoot PLC programs.
9. Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
10. Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
11. Conducts preventative maintenance on various pieces of productionrelated equipment.
Additional Responsibilities
1. Participate in companywide 6S efforts.
2. Maintain vigilance for export compliance.
3. Contribute to efforts to maintain/improve the Quality Management System.
Experience & Education
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in related field and industry.
High School or equivalent. Technical certificate a plus.
Required Skills
Ability to operate, test, and maintain servomechanical, or electromechanical equipment.
Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; the ability to lift 35lbs.
Work Environment Steel working plant
Desired Skills
Able to interpret data and use specified measuring devices requiring advanced skills knowledge. Able to safely operate various required tools.
