Job Description

As a Digital Scrum Master, you will be responsible for working with 1-2 agile teams (Squads) to help the teams maximize the customer value they create, and to achieve excellence in agile delivery. The PPG Digital team is leading PPG and the coatings industry through an evolution in PPGs business strategies and structure. This evolution will lead PPG to capture opportunities enabled by digital technologies and to provide amazing customer experiences. With the result of unlocking new revenue streams and reaching new customers. Relocation Available.

Key Responsibilities:

* Serve as Scrum Master for 1-2 Squads
* Help clear obstacles to delivery
* Help the Squad find effective techniques for Product backlog management
* Assist in tracking the delivery of product features and capabilities
* Coach Squad members in Lean/Agile practices and mindsets
* Help manage risks and dependencies
* Escalate and track impediments
* Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
* Acting as a servant leader to the Squad to help them understand and grow in Lean/Agile values, principles, theories, and practices
* Supporting the Product Owner by ensuring the Squad understands the product domain, customer goals, and scope
* Establishing a psychologically safe environment where the Squad can self-organize and be effective
* Facilitating alignment within the Squad, across other Squads, and within the Crew (program) in a globally spread organization
* Making work visible, through the use of Kanban boards and similar techniques
* Addressing team dynamics and facilitating conflict resolution
* Teaming with the Product Owner in protecting the Squad from outside interruptions and distractions
* Embodying a growth mindset and love of experimentation

Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree
* Scrum Master certification required (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
* Experience working with agile planning & delivery tools, such as Azure DevOps
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred
* 3+ years serving as Scrum Master for one or more teams
* Previously served as scrum master on large scale B2B or B2C ecommerce initiatives is highly desired
* Preference that candidate be located in Pittsburgh. During COVID, can work remotely, but willing to travel to Pittsburgh per business needs
* Proven experience with IT/technology projects with multiple priorities of significant scope in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, cross-functional teams and a focus on customer
