Job Description

As a Science & Technology Instrumentation Technician, you will maintain equipment and instrumentation for state of the art science and technology facilities. In this role you plan, coordinate, execute, and maintain an effective services organization; utilizing engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools, subcontracted services, and other company resources. The work you do will have an impact on our scientists; and their ability to conduct accurate research and development activities!

Key Responsibilities

* Complete ISO and Non-ISO instrument calibrations through certificate completion.
* Acquire material proposals and write up equipment requisitions for approval.
* Coordinate and handle all 3rd party instrument calibration requirements.
* Participate as a team member in all internal and external quality audits.
* Prepare and handle calibration and project schedules for the effective completion of work.
* Call customers and coordinate all calibrations to ensure instrument availability.
* Participate in special projects such as but not limited to design input, understanding drawings, answering service provider questions and manufacturing.

Qualifications

* 2-Year degree or equivalent related work experience.
* 3 or more years' experience in a lab/research environment with instrument calibrations, certificates and other quality documents. Experience with ISO 17025 a plus.
* Must possess a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record per Company policy.
* Ability to be insured if driving a company or personal vehicle; for onsite visits from time to time for the completion of equipment calibrations. Travel to include: Pittsburgh, Cleveland, & Columbus.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle diverse projects in various phases of development.
