Position Summary:

Primarily focused on collecting, maintaining, managing, interpreting and analyzing data received from internal data and external data sources. Evaluates data integrity to identify potential concerns and opportunities for process improvements.

Key responsibilities further include:

* Analyzing data using statistical methods
* creating reports to illustrate findings and recommendations
* Building statistical models
* Evaluating business requirements to identify new and changing reporting needs
* Performing quality testing and validation of data sets; and presenting data, ideas, and analysis results to business leadership to aid in identifying opportunities and risk exposure.
* Will support on key projects and may lead smaller projects.

Essential Functions

* Key responsibilities further include: o Analyzing data using statistical methods; creating reports to illustrate findings and recommendations; Building statistical models, Evaluating business requirements to identify new and changing reporting needs; Performing quality testing and validation of data sets; and presenting data, ideas, and analysis results to business leadership to aid in identifying opportunities and risk exposure.

* Will support on key projects and may lead smaller projects.

* Support and maintenance of client accounts, including: o Research o Analysis and evaluation of data from medical, dental, life and disability plans and programs o Detailed reconciliation of accounts and data process

* Process monthly variance reports and responses from clients from reconciliation reports

* Process carrier reports related to remittance discrepancies

* Process manual adjustments to billing and carrier remittance

* Processing of monthly data interface files and client enrollment data

* Responsible for resolution of both simple and complex client issues

* Carrier/vendor interaction, at both a transactional and technical level

* Coordination with other Gallagher/McGregor departments on issue resolution, including Accounting, Underwriting, and IT.

* Verify and update rates during Renewal and Open Enrollment processes

* Assist with projects involving large data files and systems

* Participate in process improvement, including needs and testing of solutions

* Development of client ready reports, training materials, and documentation

* Cross training to other departments

* Exhibit the highest degree of professionalism and creativity, representing Gallagher/McGregor in both client and team situations

* Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in business, mathematics, statistics, computer science, information technology, or related field.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a data analyst or relevant role.
* Strong analytical capabilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and various business intelligence and analytical tools.
