The Information Technology Department has an opening for a Senior Project Manager for Digital Customer Experience organization. This position is located in Pleasanton, California.

Position Purpose

Albertsons Companies' IT Digital Customer Experience team has a need for a Senior Project Manager to help manage variety of projects and initiatives that are consumer facing and/or business facing. This role will be an individual contributor responsible for managing projects that pertain to the Digital Marketing and eCommerce/Grocery Delivery business functions, that include focusing on projects to launch new features to the existing applications or build new consumer-facing or business-facing apps, and manage the customer support functions. The candidate will report into IT Director of Digital Customer Experience, and partner with its peer development team members, other cross-functional IT teams, business stakeholders and leadership team distributed across geographical locations including Pleasanton CA, Phoenix, AZ and Manila, Philippines.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Initiates and facilitates project kick-off and inception activities
* Coaches and mentors other Project Manager to encourage consistent, core best practices across the teams
* Takes responsibility for managing dependencies between the project/product teams and third parties, release managers, or between the teams
* Exhibits desire to continuously learn new tools, techniques, and methodologies from teams and Agile community
* Understands Continuous integration and deployment and Exhibits ability to run projects in the Scrum and Kanban methodologies, with multiple outside dependencies and remote project team members
* Effectively communicates with cross functional teams
* May develop and deliver formal presentations and training programs to end users, project teams, management teams and executive management
* Interacts seamlessly with both business and project teams
* Facilitates discussions that lead to the resolution of project issues and development impediments
* Reports project progress to Program Management and executive level stakeholders
* Properly manages shared resources across multiple projects
* Ensures all proper training and user documentation has been implemented
* Has working knowledge and understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology and incremental delivery
* Exhibits a desire to continuously improve, and shows a track record of improvement
* Communicates openly and frequently with stakeholders and subject matter experts regarding the state of the project
* Actively contributes to the company's Agile and Lean Community through participation in the internal Agile Community of Practice and Project Manager Forums

* Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition

Qualifications:

* 4 year degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or relational functional field)
* 6+ years of work as a team member or as manager, leading large business applications
* ScrumMaster certification (CSM) preferred
* Hands-on Experience with Jira, Confluence
* Familiarity and understanding of Agile practices, SCRUM, Test Driven Development & Kanban
* Excellent communication skills, and presentation skills
* Excellent in managing stakeholder experience and setting expectations and driving dependent teams
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
* High degree of initiative, purpose and enthusiasm
* Ability to mentor and guide project team members
* Strong organization skills with good interpersonal skills and a customer service oriented attitude.
* Strong experience building consumer facing solutions and building applications on the public cloud
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills
* Ability to communicate and drive highly complex technology solutions to broad audiences within and outside of IT
* Ability to work independently

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S.
