Messenger is expanding from being an app to also being a platform/experience that powers conversations within and across Facebooks multiple apps, including Instagram, Portal, and Facebook app. The Special Projects and Strategic Implementation Lead is part of a new team focused on ensuring strategic alignment and seamless execution of cross-app cross-functional initiatives across Messenger and other Facebook apps. This team is responsible for driving program management of highly complex and multi-app initiatives from Messenger, working closely with leaders across our consumer marketing and product organization. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the marketing strategy, strategically coordinating across multiple go-to-market teams including marketing, partnerships, growth, Communications/PR, creative, analytics and others, and ensuring alignment and smooth decision making for key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and marketing and has exceptional strategic, organizational, communication and program management skills. They thrive in complexity and are passionate about putting methods to madness. They must be able to succeed in a fast-paced, often-ambiguous, often-changing environment and be able to thrive in and work with cross- functional teams.

PMM Lead, Special Projects and Strategic Implementation, Messenger Responsibilities

* Own the program management of high priority, cross-product initiatives that require strategic coordination and implementation

* Drive strategic integration and execution of plans across all go-to-market teams, including product marketing, integrated marketing, social, communications, product growth, partnerships etc.

* Drive visibility, stakeholder alignment and decision making across go-to-market teams

* Communicate up/down/across the organization to ensure transparency, alignment, and advocacy of marketing strategy and plans

* Partner closely with PMM to develop strategic communications and frameworks for aligning key stakeholders on go-to-market strategy (audiences, launch sequencing, positioning/messaging) and plans

* Develop playbooks that standardize how cross-product initiatives are planned and executed against

Minimum Qualifications

* 10+ years experience working in a Consumer Product Marketing and or Consumer Marketing capacity

* Experience developing marketing strategies and translating those strategies into business plans

* Experience utilizing data and measurement to drive decisions

* Experience communicating concepts - engaging and influencing at all levels of organizational leadership

* Highly collaborative with demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams effectively

Preferred Qualifications

* MBA

* Corporate strategy, strategic planning or management consulting experience

* Strong business acumen and outstanding strategic problem solving skills

* Excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a bias for action. Embraces day-to-day flex between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
