Job Description

As a QA Lead, Portal, you'll ensure the delivery of a high-quality software and platform for the Portal product lines. You'll be responsible for building and executing quality strategies and plans across multiple products and platforms. You'll also debug issues across the hardware and software stack including consumer electronics devices, mobile apps, and web. You'll have intimate knowledge of current issues, build heat maps and bug burn-downs, along with track and report detailed metrics to key stakeholders which would lead to go/no-go decisions per milestone. The ideal candidate is a quality assurance leadership expert and a detail-oriented QA engineer who has excellent communication skills. With your expertise and impact we will build an amazing consumer electronics device experience and ensure the release of Portal products that will delight our customers.

QA Lead, Portal Responsibilities

* Build a test-driven engineering and development culture that drives improvements in quality

* Create strategies, plans, and test cases for new and existing features across multiple product lines

* Lead the work of manual testers and contract workers

* Implement process changes to scale testing efforts across multiple product lines

* Debug issues, report defects and propose regression tests

* Identify, test, track and report KPI trends over the course of the projects

* Work along-side hardware and software engineers, program managers and QA to triage issues and help make go/no-go decisions

* Partner with Automation and Infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalability and reliability

Minimum Qualifications

* BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

* Experience leading QA Engineers and contract workers

* Experience leading QA activities for consumer electronics devices

* Experience debugging OS and applications on consumer electronics devices

* Experience building, shipping, and maintaining commercial software

* Experience in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++ or equivalent language

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in managing black box and white box testing

* Experience reporting progress and results to stakeholders
