As a member of theHealth Sciences Global Business Unit (HSGBU) development organization, you willdesign, develop enterprise software and implement major changes to existingsoftware architecture. A successful candidate will be a strong team player whois able to work across multiple functions and disciplines.

Argus Safety is acomprehensive platform designed to enable pharmaceutical companies to track,manage, and report safety information related to their prescription andnon-prescription drugs in the marketplace.

It alsofacilitates the reporting of any safety or adverse events (rash, death,hospitalization etc) to the FDA to ensure the drug is not a risk to the publicat large.

Responsibilities:

Architect,design, create and maintain the full stack (front end and back end) ofcustomer-facing cloud based applications.

Help create andreview system and software requirements.

Help foster goodsoftware engineering practices.

Follow relevantcompany procedures and help create and maintain relevant documentation.

Activelyparticipate in all aspects of the software engineering process.

Prepare testcases to perform verification and validation of software.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates have significantexperience in multi-tier development using web application servers and withmost of the following technology areas:

Java

JSP/Servlet/J2EE

Oracle, SQL, JDBC

JavaScript/HTML/AJAX

Restful Web services

XML

Should be willing to work on Microsoft Technologies when required whilemigration from to JAVA occurs on the platform

In addition,relevant experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

Developing applications in a regulated environment

Working with large data sets (100%27s of millions of records)

Experience developing on Oracle technologies and middleware

Experience in Oracle JET, jQuery, Knockout, RequireJS

Experience working on Cloud based solutions with modern cloud technologies

Experience with Agile Methodologies

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
