Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division Strategy and Business Development team. This individual will be responsible for leading the development and execution of campaign strategies focused on building relationships and capturing new business opportunities with DOE, NNSA/National Labs and FFRDC customers. This role will be located in Roy UT or Huntsville AL.

Additional Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Identifying, assessing, and developing strategies to pursue new business opportunities with international partners and allies.
* Leading/coordinating regional front end activities and increasing collaboration with Huntsville based missile defense and other adjacent programs and partners.
* Translating customer needs into specific requirements and identifying/tailoring company services and solutions into offerings.
* Long range strategic planning for development and modernization activities.
* Identification/creation and validation of program opportunities.
* Assessing and evaluating near-term and long term program requirements.
* Early phase program plan development/execution.
* Customer and partner relationship development and interaction management across multiple levels/functions.
* Technical/operational/customer/partner knowledge of Strategic Defense Systems.
* Knowledge of/experience with DOE and NNSA programing/budgeting/acquisition processes.
* Providing observations, insights and analysis of trends and opportunities in the assigned market in the form of written reports and presentations.
* Responsible for managing multiple communication channels for dissemination of information regarding their assigned market to internal customers.
* Partnering with division resources to support tradeshow planning and leadership representation for virtual and in-person events.
* Conducting market and opportunity research, analysis and business case development.
* Travel may be required 50% of the time.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor rsquo;s degree from an accredited university and a minimum of 9 years of related professional experience ndash; OR ndash; a Master rsquo;s degree with 7 years of related professional experience.
* Experience in and established relationships working with the NNSA, M amp;O operations and industry counterparts.
* Thorough knowledge of government procurement and business development processes as well as a proven track record of business development success across all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
* Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, strategic thinking with respect to customer needs, competitive positioning and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills that ensure collaborative and trusting relationships with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and technical experts.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and deliver executive level presentations.
* Experience leading high performing teams.
* Ability to obtain an active Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Advanced degrees in both business and a technical discipline.
* Active DOE Q clearance.
* Direct experience (within the last 3 years) with program management on DOE/NNSA activities.
* Strong technical knowledge of NG product offerings across multiple sector portfolios.
* Demonstrated ability to think strategically, to identify and qualify new program opportunities, and to develop and implement creative approaches for executing early phase program activities.
* International multidiscipline experience with increasing responsibilities.
* Leadership experience in industry groups and university partnerships.
