What IT Storage contributes to Cardinal Health
IT Storage is responsible for designing, implementing, operating and maintaining the Cardinal Health storage environment.
* Demonstrates knowledge of storage, hardware, software and storage area network (SAN) technologies.
* Installs and configures storage hardware and software.
* Establishes and maintains storage system needs throughout IT organization.
Accountabilities
Must have knowledge of:
* SAN Storage - IBM XIV, SVC, DS8886F, Infinidat - InfiniBox F2200
* SAN Switch Platforms - Cisco MDS 9710 , Brocade DCX 8510-8
* NAS Platforms - EMC Isilon, EMC Unity, Nexenta, AWS/GCP Cloud based NetApp Storage
* Backup NetBackup v7.7/ 8.0, AWS/GCP Cloud based Veeam backup software, EMC Data Domain physical and virtual edition
* Actifio - Copy and Data Protection, NexentaStor - Software Defined storage,
* Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied day to day tasks and issue
* Perform Road maps, Heatmaps and have vision and forecast future storage and backup platforms
* Ability to collaborate and cooperate with multiple infrastructure and application across internal business IT segments and external third-party IT industry vendors
* Strong background and experience configuring and deploying systems listed above.
* Strong background and experience with troubleshooting backup failures and issues on Veritas NetBackup and Veeam Backup.
* Experience with performing Disaster recovery and resiliency testing.
* Experience using ServiceNow ITSM tool. ITIL v3 certification preferred.
* Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, VMWare and Networking technologies is a plus.
* Contributes to the development of storage and backup policies and procedures
* Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
* Completes work independently receives general guidance on new projects and ability to document standard operating procedures using word documents and excel worksheets

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in STEM field or equivalent work experience
5+ years experience in related field preferred
5+ years of experience with both block and file storage, SAN fabrics and backup solutions
Ability to work as part of a 24x7 shift rotation for escalations
