DESCRIPTION
Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Windows team is responsible for enabling enterprise customers to run their Windows workloads in the cloud.
We are seeking software engineers to design and implement new tools and features as part of our modernization initiative where we are facilitating customers to move their applications to AWS. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.
To succeed in this role, you will be deeply familiar with the development and deployment of .NET-based applications in a Windows environment. You should be comfortable following modern object-oriented practices using test driven development. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced engineer excited to work on cloud-scale software and who has a proven track record of building and shipping software solutions.

Writing high quality .NET code for product initiatives and feature development
Working closely with product and development management to design software products and tools

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of professional software development experience
3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C including object-oriented design
2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell
Strong desire to build, deliver results, take ownership, and drive projects
Be a self-starter and motivated to take ownership of projects and drive tasks to completion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
