DESCRIPTION
Security Products, engineering group part of Consumer, Digital and Other (CDO) Information Security, is looking for a Senior Manager, Security Engineering, to define and own the strategy for Enterprise Identity and Access management CDO wide. Security Products are connected to all parts of Amazon's business and its massive worldwide service-oriented architecture. We expect Senior Manager, Security Engineering for Identity and Access Management (IAM) to drive risk evaluations, influence solution owners, and lead technical direction for cross cutting IAM initiatives with company wide security and compliance impact. There is ample of opportunity to innovate and deliver high impact outcomes. You are expected to hire and manage team of software and security engineers who are tasked to build Identify and Access management solutions, and drive key engineering and business decisions in the teams across the company that will improve Amazon Information Security. In this role, you will exercise your leadership skills as you work with internal customers, stakeholders, various security and engineering teams, and senior management to understand the business direction and translate their needs to the engineering concepts and solutions to be developed. You will interface with global teams and participate in software development efforts across multiple teams.
Since our systems are foundational to the Amazon ecosystem, you will also have the opportunity to learn about various Amazon business including the Amazon e-Commerce websites, Prime, Alexa and AWS.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or related discipline, or 15+ years equivalent technology experience
Minimum of 10 years of industry experience with a proven track record of delivery following Project Management principles
10+ years of executive communication. Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing the deployment of information security solutions at scale
Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions
Solid foundation in software engineering principles
Ability to effectively coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders
Understanding of information security, privacy frameworks, and compliance requirements
