The Learning Experience Designer is responsible for the learning solutions at the center of the Amazons Transportation Operations Management, TOM Learning is looking for a Learning Experience Designer to develop transportation-focused learning solutions for its network of associates and drivers.
The Learning Experience Designer will manage stakeholders, design and develop highly engaging and interactive learning solutions (live simulations, case studies, etc.), and collaborate closely with team members. In particular, this candidate needs to have experience in developing both skills-based training content and leadership development content for a classroom, virtual classroom, and performance-based support (such as job aids).
TOM Learning Experience Designers will manage projects and programs from analysis through implementation and evaluation, working cross-functionally with multiple teams.
Design and develop creative, learner-centered training programs, modules, and materials in multiple modalities including synchronous remote learning methodologies, blended classroom learning, interactive e-learning modules, videos, job aides, facilitator guides, and practice, review, and resource materials.
Design and help facilitate train-the-trainer knowledge transfer sessions for new programs as required, and support facilitators.
Design and implement the overall evaluation strategy for each offering, including learning impact for the business.
Facilitate on occasion key learning programs in either a physical classroom or virtual setting, including the launch of any pilot programs.
Create and execute a plan to audit and update active learning assets.
Write and present proposals for future learning needs, driving for alignment and buy-in of recommendations and investment needs.
Travel up to 25%.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
At least 5 years work experience in the area of instructional design
Experience in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
Experience working with a variety of learning tools including Articulate Storyline, Vyond, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop, and basic HTML.
Experience with multi-media development (audio, video, and/or animation)
Experience in facilitating programs in person and virtually.
B.A. in relevant field, with a preference for instructional design or human performance technology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least 5 years work experience in the area of instructional design, ideally in operations, IT and leadership development topics.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Problem solving skills.
Work well under pressure.
Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts, global stakeholders, and managers.
Proven project management experience and the ability to prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects with tight deadlines
Applied knowledge of measurement, statistics and program evaluation for leadership offerings
