JOB SUMMARY: Provide Ultrasonic Examination (UE) system oversight for operational production, safety, and DOT compliance. Responsible for the implementation of GEG initiatives for improving operating efficiency, compliance, and safety in the Airgas cylinder maintenance and requalification facilities. Support Regional growth by assisting in reduction of UE failure rate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Provide technical support to Regional Company UE facilities to minimize UE system issues and downtime.

* Conduct GEG audits of UE/Internal Shot Blast (ISB)/Liquid Cylinder Repair (LCR) facilities.

* Test and verify new technology for use in ultrasonic cylinder requalification.

* Implement best operating practices for Regional cylinder requalification.

* Support UE system upgrades, new system installations, startup, and maintenance with Regional Companies.

* Identify and communicate process/profit improvement areas and

* Extensive travel up to 75%

* Home based office

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Strong interpersonal skills

* A BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent education such as ASNT Level III Certification in Ultrasonic Testing.

* If a highly qualified Level II UE inspector, position is contingent upon completion of ASNT Level III certification.

* At least five (5) years hands on experience in ultrasonic inspection and process improvement.

* Knowledge of Office products such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Google Suite, etc.

* Highly motivated individual and self-starter
