The ABM Shared Service Center is looking for a self-motivated individual who wants to grow and take their career to the next level. This person will be given an opportunity to have hands-on experience in the day-to-day transactional accounting function of ABM within a shared service environment.
Primary Focus Areas
Manages and drives the monthly close process ABM general ledger
Supervises Staff Accountants
Reviews and approves monthly journal entries
Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Maintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
Work well under pressure in a high volume and fast paced environment
Ability to communicate and collaborate with FP&A partners and other internal customers
Provide professional customer service to internal customers
Participate in the monthly accounting close cycle and ensure that all deadlines are met
Special projects and other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
Current ABM Employees and Contractors will receive priority consideration
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required
Minimum 5 years general ledger accounting experience is required
CPA preferred
Knowledge of JDE Accounting software highly preferred
Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word
Must be detail oriented and have strong communications skills
Possess a positive attitude with a strong desire to learn
Commitment to teamwork through relationship-building, reliability, and collaboration
Good communication skills and be able to work with different management levels
Ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment
