Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Manager Operations Airline Catering & Transportation Operations is to lead the catering assembly and transportation activities for one of Boston's Major Airlines! The Operations Manager also serves as manager on duty for the catering facility.
Responsible for Assemblers and Drivers performance, operational, quality and the regulatory aspects of the Airline Catering Commissary. Oversees the staff and manages resources, schedules and performance issues.
Responsible for flight assembly and aircraft catering timeliness and quality of the product and service.
Leads employees, ultimately responsible for all operational aspects of Beverage and Equipment Assembly and Transportation, including scheduling, attendance, accident investigation and safety awareness
Executes department goals and objectives to support commissary and corporate initiatives
Oversees commissary quality, productivity, overall performance, food safety compliance, regulatory compliance and safety programs while on duty
Leads and influences commissary leadership to ensure corporate and local policy and procedures are implemented and maintained
Plays significant role of fostering teamwork and innovation in order to implement and improve production and delivery processes
Minimum Requirements
Ability to work various shifts within a 24/7 operation, including weekends and holidays
Knowledge of catering operations particularly equipment, beverage assembly and transportation operations.
Strong leadership skills to the ability to adapt in a changing environment.
Ability to work in a high paced environment.
Ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization, employees and outside suppliers
