ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Engineer, Hardware Development Engineering, you will join a storage electronics development team working on Hard Disk Drives (HDD) products. This team is responsible for converting technology into products and making sure that the electronics do not gate the shipment of a product. The job role in the team is to ensure that all high-speed Host interfaces (SATA, SAS, PCIe and USB) for any new products will work seamlessly in our customers environment and to quickly get to root cause when they do not. The job also requires ensuring that our products meet the industry standards for the appropriate high-speed Host interfaces.

Electronics Integration Engineers have system level knowledge of HDD products and use systematic problem solving to troubleshoot complex problems involving multiple engineering disciplines. You need to be proficient in the use of hardware equipment, including oscilloscopes and bus analyzers. You also need to have a knowledge of debugging Embedded systems and Object Oriented Programming, Excellent teamwork and communication are required as the team works closely with other engineering disciplines and provides clear and concise summaries of complex topics to upper management.

REQUIRED:

* Bachelors or Masters degree in EE with emphasis on Analog Electronics.
* Recent college graduate.
* Knowledge of the basic functions of amplifiers, signal characteristics including RT/FT, slew, attenuations
* Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as SAS, USB, PCIE, SATA as well as differential signals characteristics is a plus
* Knowledge of basic functions of transmitters, receivers, PLLs and CDRs would be a plus
* Proficient with lab methods and tools including: Oscilloscopes, network analyzers including S-parameters.
* Knowledge of embedded systems
* Object Oriented Programming required.
* Familiarity with structured problem solving in a team environment.
* Strong Communication - ability to provide clear and concise summaries of complex problems.
* Self -motivated, independent and pro-active
