What you will do as a Walls Retail Analyst:
This position will analyze and leverage customer information and behaviors as well as competitive benchmarking to identify areas necessary to improve the customer research/buying experience within our Walmart accounts. This role is responsible for developing a fact-based approach of business analytics that will be translated into key insights, strategies, and recommendations for strategic National Accounts.
How You Will Make a Difference:
* Drive modular analysis and planning during the crucial Fall season (Oct Feb)
* Keep track of revisions. Assortment planning and recommendations.
* Execute modular development each season.
* Identify Whats working/ Whats not working. Whats driving the variances?
* Store count, On-hand fluctuations, price elasticity, OTIF
* Drive seasonal analysis and planning during crucial months: (March May)
* Creation of the buy sheet for future seasonal programs
* Breakdown of initial set/replenishment, by color, by size
* Firm understanding of competitive trends outside of National Accounts.
* General RL Reporting: daily sales, inventory reporting, scorecards, POS vs.Orders, 450 report, trait reports (buyer), seasonal reports (buyer).
* Active participant in Account, sales, and forecasting team meetings.
* Assist the Walls/Liberty Team in the execution/application of brand assessments, business planning, scorecard assessments, tracking plan evaluation and inventory
* Assist Walls/Liberty Team in the development and monitoring of tactical plans to impact both the customer account and the entire team
* Execute and/or assist on order maintenance, product scripting, and pre & post event analysis
* Monitor account pricing to ensure optimal pricing is reflected on shelf
* Contribute to achievement of objectives, through rich analytics and data-mining of POS Sales, Share, Distribution, and Pricing performance in the marketplace.
* Provide assistance running SKU optimization reporting and making distribution recommendations with projected volumes outlined, as required by account team.
* Capturing key opportunities; typically in support of new item introductions and major shelving initiative drives; presenting analysis to account team and customer.
* Use customer data to support fact-based decision-making
* Identify and communicate service and distribution issues on the business.
* Travel as needed.
Skills for Success
* Firm grasp of Walmart Retail Link and other reporting systems. Minimum of 2 years.
* 4 Year degree of experience equivalent
* 5 Years of Walmart or National Account experience with analytics.
* Proficient skills in Retail Link, MS Excel, Power Point, Access, Word
* Analytical thinker, flexible problem solver and team player with ability to multitask several priorities simultaneously
* Experience in working in energy environment.
* Category Management role a plus.
