Job Description
Senior quality assurance (QA) analysts for computer software are in charge of analyzing software programs to ensure high quality and eliminate programming issues. They are responsible for overseeing the correct functioning of software code and ensuring company requirements are met before releasing to production. They work closely with different teams in their organization, plan and complete performance tests using automated means, lead testing procedures, and create detailed reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. 1. Review requirements, specification, and technical design documents.
2. 2. Provide estimates for testing timelines based on the scope of effort
3. 3. Willingness to work closely with direct team members
4. 4. Identify, develop and execute high quality test cases, test conditions, and expected results for code and configuration issues.
5. 5. Work closely with different teams inside and out of our organization to form cohesive goals.
6. 6. Extensive experience with issue & project tracking software to document and report on execution results and create detailed reports.
7. 7. Ability to translate business/operational procedures into QA manual test cases
8. 8. Ability to translate QA manual test cases into an automation process/script (i.e. SmartBear)
9. 9. Plan, lead, and complete performance tests using manual and automated means
10. 10. Participate in requirement reviews as needed
11. 11. Reporting regular progress in both application software and to Supervision that can be shared with Management (Task holders/Business personnel)
12. 12. Must be able to adapt and change direction quickly as business requirements change.
13. 13. Ability to efficiently test and learn new applications on the Retail software space.
14. 14. Must Possess strong analytical skills and pay close attention to detail to find problematic source code.
15. 15. Analyzes software test results and recommend a course of action, when necessary, to ensure that performance standards demanded by the organization are maintained.
16. 16. Clearly identify and communicate technical requested assistance
17. 17. Experience working in a lab environment.
18. 18. Ability to learn multiple applications quickly
19. Help train support staff and Participate in mentoring tasks
20. Submit hours weekly
Qualifications
1. Bachelors degree in computer science or related field required
2. 5+ years working with retail store or fuel systems
3. Phone based service experience
4. Computer Skills:
1. 7+ years working with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel
2. 7+ years working with issue and project tracking software (i.e. JIRA)
3. 7+ years building documentation
4. 7+ years working with identifying security risks with PCI and PII in a POS environment
5. 7+ years working with card processing, EMV and P2PE/E2EE
6. 7+ years working with certification process with card processors
7. 5+ years working with Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
8. 5+ years working with remote applications software (i.e. Bomgar)
9. 5+ years working with automation and scripting (i.e. PowerShell)
10. Knowledge in and understanding of computer connections and configurations
11. Knowledge in and understanding of networking connections and firewalls
12. Knowledge in SDLC
13. Knowledge in SQL and relational database systems is desirable
14. Knowledge in software distribution and best practices is desirable
15. Experience with Retalix Storepoint software is desirable
16. Knowledge in POS equipment and peripheral devices is desirable
17. Experience in mobile payment applications is desirable

Working Conditions
1. Working onsite at TA campus, M-F, as well as some remote work
2. Office position. Very limited travel requirements
3. Working afterhours and weekends/holidays, as needed
Physical Requirements
Requires extensive sitting, viewing and utilizing computer equipment, keyboarding, listening and speaking with telephone equipment, walking and occasionally lifting 10 to 40 lbs. travel required via automobile and/or airplane
Working Conditions
While not traveling, position has no exposure to adverse working conditions.
