Position Specific Description
Point Beach is a top performing Nuclear Plant in North East Wisconsin that is looking for team members to assist in the training and qualification of the next generation of operators. Point Beach will be conducting an Auxiliary Operator (Non-Licensed) training class and is in need of temporary support to augment their instructional team. We are focused on teamwork and driven to provide industry best training to the next generation of operators. This position would include the preparation and delivery of training along with other systematic approach to training administrative tasks. Experience at a Westinghouse Pressurized Water Reactor would be beneficial along and/or Nuclear Industry Training Qualifications. This is a project bound position intended to run for six months, 3/15/2021 9/15/2021.
Job Overview
Deliver integrated systems training to instruct employees in plant operations and prepare them for field or control room watch standing. Prepare employees for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) initial and requalification operator and senior operator licensing examinations. Participate in the design and development of operator training in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements. Design, develop, implement and present integrated systems training and initial operator and requalification training programs; effectively operates the simulator and classroom display instruction system according to Training procedures. Develop, administer, evaluate and record written and oral examinations to include simulator and plant observation, assess operator candidate knowledge of controls and systems. Revise instructional materials to reflect changes in plant design, current plant practices, regulations, and/or operating philosophies. Perform other duties as assigned and requested.

Required Qualification
* Bachelors degree in a technical field (e.g. Math, Physical Sciences specialty, Engineering) or equivalent education and/or experience. In absence of a degree, High School Diploma/GED is required.
* Minimum of three (3+) years in nuclear plant operations experience or as a Nuclear based instructor is required.
* Must possess (or obtain) and maintain a senior reactor operator certification for the site where instruction duties are being performed and complete instructor certification requirement.
* Plant specific senior reactor operator (SRO) certification as well instructor certification required to advance to other levels.
* Candidates must satisfy all Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission security requirements.
* Travel to support company objectives and act as a member of the Emergency Response Organization will be part of the requirements of this position.
