Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital
Examines patients with breathing-related conditions and conducts diagnostic testing. Consults with physicians to develop and implement a treatment plan for the patient. Performs physiotherapy and other treatments and teaches patients to use medications.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree in Science preferred.
Required LicensesRespiratory Therapists
Current Respiratory Therapist Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky. Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Minimum Work Experience
Three or more years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services preferred.
Required SkillsCertifications:
Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
