L3Harris is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for our Salt Lake City, Utah location. The Business Analyst will provide business analytics and reporting to functional areas or projects/programs. They will iIdentify and develop metrics by working with users and stakeholders to understand data visualization and reporting requirements. Translate business results into meaningful metrics and recommendations aimed at improving performance. Analyze business processes and problems to formulate and develop recommendations to meet customer and/or internal project requirements. May be responsible for performing financial and business performance analysis. Defines configuration specifications and business analysis requirements. May partner with leaders to assess needs and define requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Help define Engineering metrics (goal)
* Monitor and gather engineering performance data (monthly)
* Analyze performance and compliance data, and identify trends, weaknesses, and anomalies
* Prepare reports and present to Engineering Management and Division Leadership
* Perform internal audits of Engineering process compliance per internal policies and procedures
* Suggest process improvement where weaknesses are identified
* Assist with the mentoring of Engineering personnel on process compliance
* Assist with continuous process improvement practices, tools, and methods
* Proven relationship-building ability while fostering an environment of trust and mutual respect
* Ability to anticipate, embrace, communicate, implement and champion change
* Proven ability to productively contribute work, ideas, and collaboration as part of a team in a cooperative effort to accomplish goals and objectives
* Strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral)
* Ability to professionally interface and communicate with personnel at all levels of the company, including senior management
* Ability to use statistical analysis and lean concepts and techniques
* Skills and experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) a plus
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in quality, business, or engineering plus 5 years' experience in quality, reliability, and/or engineering disciplines
* 5 years' experience in initiating, analyzing, implementing and sustaining continuous improvement projects
* 5 years' experience with AS9100 and Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) knowledge
* 5 years' Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent) experience or Certified Process Quality Analyst certification
* 5 years' experience in the use of Microsoft Office products - especially Excel and Power Point
* 5 years' experience with statistics is a plus
* 5 years' experience with Business Intelligence tools (Microsoft Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, etc.) is a plus
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Working knowledge of corrective and preventive action systems is highly desired
* Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and positive interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively across organizations to achieve lasting results
* Understanding of good process and adherence thereto
* Occasional travel required
* Due to the nature of L3Harris CSW contracts, this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
* Out of State candidates must be willing to relocate to Salt Lake City, Utah.
