Description
The Associate Director, Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. Establishes metrics, provides data analyses, and works directly to support business intelligence. Evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position. The Associate Director, Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).
Responsibilities
The Associate Director, Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting will lead a team of actuaries responsible for developing market-level medical forecasts. This forecasts are complex in nature, requiring a leader who is versed in technical forecast development and deployment. This position will provide the leader with an opportunity to drive strategic outcomes through cross-department collaboration.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor Degree
* FSA or ASA plus relevant advanced degree, extensive work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations
* MAAA
* Demonstrated leadership capability, has led sizable staff before
* Experience in leading other human capital leaders
* Strong Communication Skills
* Experience in more than three functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving or trending) and more than one product.
* Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
* ASA with at least 3 years of health industry experience, and FSA with at least 1 year health industry experience
