Honeywell User Experience (HUE) is a company-wide function with the goal of applying design thinking towards creating useful, usable and differentiated offerings to our internal and external customers. Located in Honeywells global headquarters in Charlotte, NC, this role is part of a diverse team of UX talents within Corporate IT. The UX / Service Designer engages in projects, activities and initiatives, contributing to the creation of superior experiences for internal and external consumers of Honeywells IT services, processes and digital products.
Key Responsibilities
* Be the lead User Experience (UX) / Service Designer for ITSC organization
* Effectively bring design thinking into ITSC project teams through mentoring and/or executing UX activities
* Develop and apply informed design strategies for new and derivative design solutions, communicate them to project teams and sponsors, and build support and buy-in
* Design for the end-to-end experience by applying user research, journey mapping, information architecting, interaction design, usability testing to digital products (desktop, web, mobile) as well as services and processes.
* Apply design thinking to third-party business applications with a lot of design constraints.
* Run workshops with users and/or project stakeholders to identify and document jobs to be done, journey maps, innovation ideas, and more.
* Create informed, convincing, and professional reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders and decision makers.
* Evangelize internally and externally about design thinking through blogs, training, workshops, lunch n learns, etc.
* Some travel required post-COVID
YOU MUST HAVE
* Bachelors Degree in HCI, Cognitive Psychology or Design related
* 3+ years of job experience in user-centered design and service design
