Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
The HDE Senior Settlement Coordinator is responsible for utilizing The Home Depot Services systems and processes to coordinate all the functions related to the collection of jobs as well as acting as a liaison between the finance providers such as Hero, Pace and FCC, install team, and Accounting . Responsible for settlement of aging accounts. Responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience by resolving issues that can effect job completion. Will act as a contact to field personnel, vendors, customers, and others as necessary. Must have working knowledge of FDCPA and previous account settlement/collections experience

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
45%- Accurately work with the settlement team and the appropriate system/process, ensuring that aging jobs are closed.
35%- Work as a liaison between the field, vendors and customers to assist with bringing aging jobs to a finish and paid status.
20%- Provide consistent communication with third party finance company to work through any regulatory obstacles that may prevent the aging jobs from closing.

NATURE AND SCOPE
Reports to a Contact Center Supervisor.
this position has no direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 year

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge, aptitude, and application of all HDE Settlement systems and processes
- Services and HDE Field Processes background
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build strong, professional relationships through partnerships, teamwork and a solution-driven attitude and approach strongly desired.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and verbal).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and accurately.
- Strong time management skills.
- Excellent typing skills.
- Experience using a computer including Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook)
- Ability to train, coach, and mentor trainees and new associates
- Self-starter with the ability to work on their own with minimal direction
- Proven ability to deliver Excellent Customer Service
- Ability to act as a point of contact and eventual subject matter expert.
