GDIT's Technology Shared Services (TSS) division is seeking an Advisor Developer to support our FAA team in developing both the FAA DroneZone and LAANC applications to monitor Drone operations. We are seeking a Java Developer with full stack skills to join our Web Applications Services team. You will engage with a team that is diverse and that strives for collaboration and transparency and will utilize Agile SCRUM to organize workflow and continuously improve processes as well.
Core Responsibilities:
* Develop new web applications and services and be a major contributor to migrating existing applications and services to new solutions.
* Maintain and support existing web applications, including some non-business hours.
* Work closely with users in an iterative development environment
* Provide operational user support
Job Requirements :
* Have a BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or equivalent IT experience.
* 8 years of IT Experience
* 4+ years of experience in Java development
* Customer contract requires US Citizenship
* Experience working in multiple domains and have significant experience building Java applications from start to finish.
* You take pride in being able to break down complex problems into simple solutions
* You thrive in an environment where you have a voice and can impact team performance through seeking innovative process and development improvements
* Experience developing robust, enterprise-class web sites
* Experience writing SQL and database queries
* Experience with one or more scripted languages

The likely salary range for this position is $83,200 - $124,800, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
