We are currently looking for a Senior Software Developer to provide support for our government customer located in Point Mugu, CA.Researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Analyzes user/business software system requirements and determines needs. Determine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time. Maintains documentation to support software development policies, standards and procedures.
Applies expert knowledge and provides guidance to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Applies expert knowledge in analyzing user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs.
Applies expert knowledge in creating advanced models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application.
Applies expert knowledge and provides guidance for software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs.
Provides expert analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status.
Provides expert knowledge and guidance on the software or system process for optimal documentation and future maintenance and updates.
Provides Knowledge and implementation of Enterprise Cloud systems.
May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.
May serve as a mentor to experienced analysts.
May serve as team or task lead. (Not a people manager)
May act as a consultant across multiple programs and/or contracts within a Division.
Recognized as a subject matter expert in software development.
Required Qualifications:
-BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 10+ years of experience
-Must have high level of experience with the following technologies: Python, Neo4j, Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, ESXi and Virtual Machines, Docker, and Linux.
-Must have experience with VMware
-Must have an in-depth understanding of of the principals of big data
-Must have a familiarity with with best practices for Agile SW development and/or DevSecOps.
-Experience/Familiarity with Enterprise Cloud systems
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
-MA/MS (or equivalent experience),
-Experience setting up and/or managing CI/CD pipelines.
-Familiarity with the following technologies: Java, WSO2, OpenShift, uWSGI, REST, JavaScript, KeyCloak
Familiarity with the following tools: Jira, Confluence, FishEye and Crucible, Jenkins, Gradle, Nexus, Fortify, Docker Compose, Twistlock.
-Any familiarity with the following DoD spectrum data sources and formats: MIDB, JSDR, IBS, TSDF, JSDR/Pub 8, VITA 49.
