Job Description

Summary: We are seeking highly motivated Data Engineers to enhance the data gathering and analytical capabilities of a geographically dispersed, state of the art Enterprise. Candidates will utilize experience in data collection, processing and analysis to design, build, deploy and administer data collection and processing solutions.

Embracing the DevOps model, engineers will be responsible for supporting their solutions throughout the entire IT project lifecycle, to include refining requirements,creating design documentation, creating installation instructions and deployment plans, and providing O&M support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design, document, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and API integrations for multiple data sources

* Work closely with architects, engineers and customers to assess requirements and build solutions that meet current analytical needs

* Combine raw information from different sources

* Identify opportunities for data acquisition

* Develop analytical tools and programs

* Build algorithms and prototypes

* Design and test data flows, troubleshooting issues and monitoring the health of the overall solutions stack to maximize performance and minimize downtime

* Produce data visualizations to highlight trends and patterns using Tableau or other tools as needed

SKILLS:
* Hands on experience with extracting data from databases and/or APIs through scripts and query languages

* Experience with common open APIs such as SOAP and REST

* Familiarity with common data exchange formats (CSV, XML, JSON)

* Strong experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python

* Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) techniques

* Experience with data languages, such as SQL and R

* Experience with NoSQL databases desired

* Experience with managing work tasks via tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow

* Familiarity with cloud-based data analytics tools

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications
* TS/SCI with Polygraph

* 10 years of experience in IT industry to include familiarity with Windows Active Directory Services (AD, DNS, DHCP), Exchange, File Services, and Print Services

* 5 years of experience using or developing data collection and processing tools

* CompTIA Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II qualification

Desired Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or other IT related field.

* Hands on experience in Windows systems administration

* Hands on experience in Unix/Linux systems administration

* Hands on experience in database schema design
