Job Description
The Senior Manager, Communications (Energy Solutions) leads the development and implementation of internal and/or external communication activities in a designated specialty, region, office, or department in support of business objectives and strategies.
Work closely with management, business lines, and functional departments to develop and implement communication programs, procedures, and initiatives
Responsible for communications for a region, office, function, department and/or large program(s)
Has editorial oversight for internal and/or external communication content for designated area or function, including but not limited to, articles, publications, talking points, speeches, videos, presentations, and other supporting materials
Oversee the daily activities of the Energy Solutions Communications function
Maintains effective customer relationships with key decisionmakers and influencers in order to understand the customers requirements, obtain approvals for messaging and create opportunities to tell the Fluor story through our support of client projects.
Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement with a focus on quality

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year journalism, public relations or communications degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related marketing and communications experience
Other Job Requirements
Contribute to and promote the use of Fluors knowledge management portals and communities
Participate in Fluor University
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Fluor experience
Previous experience supporting an energy organization
Previous experience supporting sustainable energy
An advanced degree (Masters) or global equivalent is preferred
Work-related experience, as a senior manager of Communications, preferably in a large, global company
Direct experience in the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) marketplace is a plus
Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading and oral presentation skills
Knowledge of global company communications procedures and programs
Understanding of key business financials and business strategies
Working knowledge of technology-based communications (Internet/intranet, social media, video and other vehicles and their use as part of a strategic communication plan)
Ability to think and plan strategically
Team player comfortable leading as well as participating in a team environment
Possess strong intuition and sound judgment
Excellent interpersonal skills ability to communicate effectively at all levels inside and outside the organization in fluid situations
Proven efficiency in project and time management self-starter with ability to manage own workload
Ability to produce consistently high quality work under tight deadlines
Demonstrated flexibility and ability to remain positive and calm under pressure
Sensitivity to diverse work force, languages, cultures, and communication idioms
