Job Title: Engineer - DC 3rd Class

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a 3rd Class Engineer in Washington, DC. The Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance during his/her watch of equipment in the plant.

Responsibilities:

* Operates and maintains one or more systems which provide the facility with such services as heat, air conditioning, refrigeration, steam or high temperature water or electricity
* Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspects of the system's operation, adjusting controls to insure safe and efficient operation of the system and to meet depends for the service provided
* Recording in logs various aspects of the system's operation
* Keep the engines, machinery and equipment of the system in good working order
* Performs other routine duties as required.

Qualifications:

* Must have 3 - 6 years' experience as a Building Engineer in a commercial environment
* Must possess a valid DC 3rd Class Engineer's License
* Display excellent problem solving
* Must have knowledge of plant operations
* Position requires strong knowledge of boilers, HVAC, and electrical building systems.
* Work requires an abundance of walking, bending, kneeling, and working in uncomfortable positions
* Follows safety guidelines
* Current GSA CAC access preferred
* Must be able to obtain HSPD 12 Clearance
* Must be able and willing to work Multiple shifts
