Position Summary
Lead and manage the development and administration of the company internship program and ensure the program is aligned across the enterprise to higher level business strategy. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Essential Job Functions
* Design and maintain a scalable enterprise-wide internship program; facilitate identification of company-wide interns and manage curriculum of enterprise-wide internship program
* Differentiate Kroger as an employer of choice and attract quality intern candidates through website content, job board content, candidate communications, diversity initiatives, onsite or campus events, and other creative means
* Establish and implement development programs and retention strategies for interns and co-ops that may include, but are not limited to, building formal networks and mentoring programs, providing access and opportunity for community outreach
* Identify professional development opportunities (i.e., courses, career development, etc.), and enable managers to develop a unique part of the organization's workforce
* Partner with Recruiting, Marketing & Branding to develop innovative marketing and advertising strategies and collateral to grow brand affinity and maximize all relevant channels of event marketing and communications internally and externally
* Partner with talent acquisition partners on analyzing intern needs, as well as position competencies and requirements needed to fill positions
* Build relationships with all interns; ensure job satisfaction and perpetuate a desire for interns to matriculate to full time associates at Kroger
* Identify open headcount and partner with HR managers/generalists and business partners to focus on filling those roles with interns upon their graduation
* Coordinate training of managers and lead mentoring program to aid in a positive internship experience

Minimum Position Qualifications
* SHRM
* 3+ years of relevant work experience, with a preference for campus recruiting experience or internship program management in a professional services environment
* Ability to work collaboratively with various level of associates and build strong relationships with key stakeholders
* Interest in driving diversity and inclusion efforts in alignment with internship strategy
* Ability to prioritize workloads as well as coordinate and maintain follow-up on multiple projects simultaneously in high volume, fast-paced environment
* Good presentation, communication (oral and written) and leadership skills
* Professional, confident, and enthusiastic demeanor
* Must be a problem solver with strong project management skills and the ability to stay organized and very detailed
* Proficient Microsoft Office skills
* Intermediate applicant tracking system/application skills
Desired Previous Experience/Education
* Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business, communications, marketing, or equivalent field
