The Registration/Admitting Clerk shall provide personal and financial counseling services to, and gather patient information for, In-Patients, Out-Patients, and Emergency Room Patients in the functional areas of admissions, discharges, payment planning, insurance verification, and collecting deductibles & co-pays. This position will provide support to the Registration Operations when needs arise to provide breaks for coworkers and/or assistance in other admitting/registration areas to prevent unnecessary patient waiting and backlog. This position reports directly to the Admissions Manager.

Education required: GED or High School Diploma

Experience required: Must have excellent clerical skills and proficiency with current computer software. Clerical experience in a hospital environment highly desirable.
